Every family deserves a home. That is exactly what House of Refuge, Inc., a Mesa, AZ-based nonprofit, works to provide, and it is what we’ve committed to help support.
We’ve “Adopted a Home” at House of Refuge, pledging $75,000 over five years through the organization’s Adopt a Home program. The program funds the support a family needs for one full year as they work toward self-sufficiency.
House of Refuge, Inc. began in 1995, when the organization obtained 88 homes, a chapel, and an office building on the former Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, AZ, to provide transitional housing and wraparound support to families experiencing homelessness. The organization accepted its first resident in 1996 and has been serving the region ever since.
House of Refuge provides transitional housing alongside practical life-skills programs, including parenting, budgeting, and healthy relationship classes, helping families rebuild toward stable, independent housing.
